I recently saw a post from Keith Parsons on Installing Orb on WLANPi and that sparked my curiosity. I have Ubuntu 25.04 running on one of my devices and wanted to see if I can install Orb on it. And it looks like Orb supports a whole bunch of devices.

There is good documentation on how to install it on different Linux versions. Since I am using Ubuntu 25.04. I used the following link to install. After following the process I wasn’t exactly sure what to do right away, so creating this quick post for anyone else who may get stuck.
Step 1: Create a free account or paid depending on what you are trying to do.
Step 2: Once you log in, “Let’s get Started” screen will show all the relevant information.

I went with the middle option, copied the command into my Ubuntu terminal and that generated a link.

After I clicked on the link, it was a matter of simply linking my device to my account.

Once the device is linked, it will show up under the dashboard.

Looks like there are some orchestration options available also and access to local APIs, something I’ll need to further explore.
